Demi-Pair Programme

It can be heaps of fun to live in a Kiwi family and help out with childcare and light housework. Especially when speaking different languages! Children are honest and speak the plain truth. They are curious and love to find out more about others in a very open way. Early childhood education is very important in New Zealand. Many families have more than 2 children. They choose to have a nanny, an au pair or a demi pair. While studying with Kiwi families, students improve their English, make new friends and learn a lot about an amazing country!

ETC Demi pair training scheme!

You study English in the morning from 9am to 12 noon (15 hours per week). In the afternoon, evening or weekend (15 hours a week) you learn and help with childcare. This could involve cooking, collecting children from school, or light housework. There are some childcare assignments to complete and if you complete them you will receive a certificate. If you have a work visa the parents may be willing to pay for additional hours. You will not have to pay for accommodation or for meals as you will be living in the family home.
